• ZOROASTRIAN EDUCATION AND RESEARCH SOCIETY -- Zoroastrian Education & Research Society is the non-profit organization formed with the sole aim of organizing scholarly conferences on Old Avesta, Later Avesta, Pahlavi, Parsi & Persian Zoroastrian Literature, Rituals and History. The Ongoing research and education will be conducted by the Society and results will be printed in its publications. It is an independent non-profit organization, not affiliated with any existing organizations/associations but will co-operate with Universities, Academia and other willing organizations/associations having similiar goals. The discussions and solutions of Socio-economic problems will be outside the scope of Z.E.R.S. These problems are the responsibilities of the Zoroastrian Community and, (as ZAGNY rightly announced on its Web Home Page), need to be solved by the FEZANA Congresses. The First International Avesta Conference is the first of the scholarly conferences organized by the Society and will be held in Nov 1997 at Framingham, USA.   Dadabhai Naoroji, the first Asian to be elected in the House of Commons arrived in Britain in 1855 with two other Zoroastrians from India and established "Cama & Co." in London and Liverpool. It was the first Asian trading company to be established in Britain. In 1861, Cama together with Naoroji established the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe with its headquarters in London in order to look after the interests of the Zoroastrian community of Britain and Europe.
  
  Being established in 1861 makes the Zoroastrian Trust Funds of Europe the first Asian community organisation in Britain. It became an incorporated company in 1909 and subsequently a religious charity. The Zoroastrian Trust Funds is a non - proselytising organisation and is a member of the Inter Faith Network for the United Kingdom. It is the only place in Europe that provides a comprehensive range of books on Zoroastrianism, has a Website, and also organises visits to their centre for schools, colleges, universities, civil servants, interfaith groups and anybody who is interested in finding out more about Zoroastrianism.
